2016 Hall of Fame – Jeannette Watson Jeanette has always been a joy to the many people that she comes into contact with because to her no one is a stranger. She has a very giving nature. Her gift of giving has afforded many under-privileged recipients the fruits of her giving spirit. She donates to numerous organizations and projects, such as: Imani Food Pantry, Clothes Closet and Soup Kitchen, Baby Baskets, Hug the Homeless and so many other projects using her personal donations.
Jeannette has served in several capacities for H. G. McCully: Chapter – President, Vice President, Fundraising Chair, Entertainment Chair, Holiday for Special Needs Chair; Life Member Rep. Council: President, Member-ship Chair and Member-at-Large. She has also been Vice President of DIAL, painted playground maps and assisted bingo for people with special needs. Never stepping backwards, she is always in the forefront to be of service and ready to help whether it is at Nursing homes, Churches, youth groups, communities or schools – it makes no difference.
When she is not engaged in helping others you can find her improving her crafting skills which many of us have been the recipients of. Her gifts include a beautiful array of scarves that she knits, crotchets and donates; she also enjoys designing lawn chairs out of macramé. Jeanette stuffed heart pillows that are provided to patients that has undergone heart surgery.
Jeanette’s dedication, service to others and kind heart is her qualification to be our 2016 New Vision H. G. McCully Upstate Pioneers Hall of Famer.
